A list of grants for university studies, postgraduate,degrees, exchanges, internships, and research for which students from Comillas Pontifical University can apply is presented below. We have selected the most important ones in each case. At the end of the page you will find a list of useful websites in order to search for other grants.

I- Bachelor's Grants:

ERASMUS - (Study and Work Experience in European companies)

As well as offering young people the opportunity to study in another country, ERASMUS grants also enable them to carry out work placements in other EU countries.maleta becas internacional

These internships can, if necessary, be accompanied by training courses or refresher courses in the host or working language.

Students from Institutions of Higher Education which have an Extended Erasmus University Charter can take part. Host organizations for student internships can be companies, training centers, research centers, and other organizations.

ASEM - DUO - (Exchanges for Studies in Singapore and Korea)

The DUO program is part of the ASEM (Asia Europe Meeting) process and offers exchange grants to European and Asian students and lecturers. Comillas Pontifical University currently has exchange agreements with Singapore Management University (Singapore) and Sogang University in Korea, as well as several others (please see the list of Agreements on the web page).

GRANTS FROM THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT - (Study in China)

The Ministry of Education in the People's Republic of China through the affiliated “China Scholarship Council” (CSC) issues grants to foreign students who would like to study in China.

GRANTS FROM THE JAPANESE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION - (for Research and Studies of Japanese)

Japan's Ministry of Education offers a program of grants to study Japanese and to expand studies intended for higher level graduates to carry out a research project for 18 months or two years.

SCHWARZMAN SCHOLARS GRANTS

Grants for Master's Studies at Tsinghua University in Beijing, one of China's most prestigious universities.

CANADA - (Grants for Postgraduate Studies in Canada)

In Canada, Bachelor's Degree grants for international students are generally provided by Canadian universities for students with excellent academic records. To consult the grants issued by the various teaching institutions, please click here.

CANIGÓ - (Internships in International Public Entities)

Grants offered by the Generalitat de Catalunya, intended for degree holders or students who have completed studies corresponding to the 1st cycle of their degree, who are residents of Catalonia and have a C level of Catalan Language, to carry out internships in international public entities.

FARO GLOBAL - (Business Internships in Europe, United States, Canada, and Asia)

Faro Global, financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, promotes the mobility of students from Spanish universities through a program of training internships in businesses in Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Likewise, these internships may also be carried out with Spanish or multinational companies which have offices in Asia and Oceania.

FUNDACIÓN UNIVERSIDAD-EMPRESA - (Internships in Spanish Companies)

The University-Business Foundation manages, in collaboration with various Spanish Universities and Companies, different internship programs for university students and recent graduates, offering more than 3000 grants per year.

VULCANUS - (Internships in Japan)   

The application period is now open –  13 January 2017  

Application Procedure:

All interested students should send or deliver personally the required documents listed on the web page: www.eu-japan.eu/events/vulcanus-japan to María Fernández Torres (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) – Coordinator for International Internships, International Relations Service, located at c/ Alberto Aguilera 23 (4 planta – Ala Este / 4th Floor, East Wing) before Wednesday, 13 January 2017.  The University will send all of the applications to the EU- Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation. 

The program consists of carrying out industrial internships for students from the EU for a period of one year.  It begins in September and ends in August of the following year.  Students receive a grant (1,900.000 yen) for the round-trip airplane ticket and basic meal expenses in Japan.  They are provided with lodging by the company that accepts them for the 12 month period.  Language courses and the seminar are paid for by the EU – Japan Centre.

Requirements to apply for the grant/internships:

  • To be a citizen of the EU
  • To be a University student in at least the fourth year of studies or a Post-Graduate student, in the areas of Engineering or Sciences
  • To be enrolled at a University in the EU for the Academic Year 2016/2017
  • To be able to leave University studies for a period of a year

Objetives of the Program:

  • To study a wide range of the most advanced technologies used by leading Japanese companies
  • To learn Japanese, as well as to appreciate and understand Japanese culture after having lived first-hand an enriching experience of a year abroad
  • To build a good professional future after entering in contact with Japanese people and companies

II- Postgraduate Grants:

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility program in the field of Higher Education. The program includes European Master's courses and offers grants financed by the European Union, intended for both nationals of third countries which participate in these Masters Programs and European Union nationals who study in associated centers around the world.

  • European courses, training in cultural and heritage management, specialization in librarianship, broadening artistic studies, research by Hispanists, etc. in Spain and abroad.

Erasmus+ Loans

 

Erasmus+ Loans for Master’s Degree Studies allow students to apply for financial aid for their Master´s Degree Programs abroad.  Banks and Student Loan Agencies offer these loans with favorable financial conditions, for example, with better interest rates than those currently on the market and up to two years before beginning to pay back the loan, in order to provide degree-holders with sufficient time to find employment. 

ADEIT - (Internships in Companies Located in the European Union)

A project financed by the European Leonardo da Vinci Program in collaboration with Bancaja and intended for young university graduates.

ARGO - (Internships in Companies Located in the European Union, USA and Canada)

A project financed by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, intended for university graduates from any public or private university in Spain, which offers the opportunity of an internship for professional training purposes in companies in Europe, the USA, and Canada. Likewise, these internships can also be carred out in Spanish or multinational companies which have offices in Asia and Oceania.

FULBRIGHT - (Postgraduate Studies, Research, and Teaching)

The Fulbright Program is the name of the main activity of the Commission for Cultural, Educational, and Scientific Exchange between Spain and the United States of America, who are the agents for issuing grants of that name for study, research, or teaching in the USA in the case of Spanish citizens, or in Spain in the case of American citizens.

The number of places and their characteristics vary each year, but fifteen are usually published for Spaniards, and five for citizens of the USA. The dates always correspond to the academic calendars of both countries.

FUNDACIÓN CAJA MADRID - CAJA MADRID FOUNDATION - (Postgraduate Studies and Research)

The Fundación Caja Madrid offers grants for carrying out Postgraduate studies (Master's, Doctorate, or Research Work) in universities and centers for advanced research in Europe (except Spain), the United States, and Canada.

The grants are aimed at Spaniards who are graduates, hold advanced Engineering qualifications, advanced IT qualifications, or advanced Architecture qualifications (with their final projects submitted and approved) or students in the final year of a Master's Degree.

FUNDACIÓN CAROLINA -  CAROLINA FOUNDATION (Postgraduate, Doctoral, Short Postdoctoral Placements, Training, and Visits)

The Fundación Carolina offers a program of grants aimed primarily at university students with postgraduate qualifications, professionals, and researchers from the countries which comprise the Ibero-American Community of Nations (Latin America).

Grants are available for Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Short Postdoctoral Placements, continuous training (the latter is open to Latin American and Spanish students) and grants for visitors (LIDER Grants).

FUNDACIÓN LA CAIXA -  LA CAIXA FOUNDATION (Postgraduate Studies)

The Fundación La Caixa offers grants for carrying out postgraduate studies in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, China, and India. It also offers grants for studying an Official Master's Degree at any university or Institution of Higher Education in Spain. The grants are intended for those with Spanish Nationality, who possess an honors degree.

FUNDACIÓN RAFAEL DEL PINO - RAFAEL DEL PINO FOUNDATION (Postgraduate Studies and Research)

Each year the Fundación Rafael del Pino offers a wide variety of grants for Spanish Undergraduate Degree holders and advanced degree holders aimed at expanding their studies in Spanish and foreign universities and research centers. The aim of these grants is to contribute to the training of leaders, especially in the fields of Economics and Business, Economic Analysis of Law, Regulation and Deregulation, and Economic and Legal Analysis of Competition in Markets.

FUNDACIÓN RAMÓN ARECES - RAMÓN ARECES FOUNDATION (Postgraduate Studies and Research)

The Fundación Ramón Areces offers grants to Spanish honors degree holders to pursue studies in foreign universities and research centers on subjects relating to Economics in general - and in particular, on issues related to Monetary and Banking Economics, Business Economics, Foreign Trade and International Economics and European Union Law.

FUNDACIÓN UNIVERSIDAD-EMPRESA - UNIVERSITY- BUSINESS FOUNDATION (Internships in Spanish Companies)

The University-Business Foundation manages, in collaboration with various Spanish Universities and Companies, different internship programs for university students and recent graduates, offering more than 3000 grants per year.

ICEX - INSTITUTE OF FOREIGN COMMERCE/TRADE (Theoretical and Practical Training and Internships in Spanish Companies or International Institutions)

The objective of the grants from the Institute of Foreign Commerce is to train young professionals who specialize in providing companies with services for internationalization.

These programs, intended for honors degree holders, offer theoretical training in international commerce/trade and practical training in the different offices of the Foreign and Domestic Network of the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, in Spanish Companies with international activity or in international institutions.

MAEC-AECID - (Undergraduate Studies, Research and Postgraduate Studies in Spain and Abroad)

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation offers grants each year, primarily for postgraduates, for young university graduates and, on some programs, for foreign and Spanish final-year students.
